Hi I'm Emilie, a 28 year old artist and business owner currently based in Virginia. Since I was very young, I always knew I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. I began venturing into art professionally when I took AP Studio Art in highschool. I enjoy experimenting with many mediums, but specialize in acrylic painting. I have always been drawn to abstract art and love playing with color and fluid painting.
My biggest inspirations for my work include music, the universe, and geology. I graduated from Kent State University with my degree in geology, with a passion for rocks and minerals. This special interest led me to start my own crystal business, Cosmic Geology. I take inspiration from the beautiful crystals that come into my shop and have painted over 80 different minerals. My travels to National Parks, especially in the southwest, have inspired my most recent paintings.
From the stage lights reflecting off guitars at a concert, to the muted colors of the desert foliage, exploring color schemes is one of my favorite parts of creating a new painting.
In 2019 and 2021 I showed my work at the Lincolnshire Art Fest.
